Memorials
"And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food;
the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil."
-Genesis 2:8-9
We dedicate this Biblical garden at First Congregational Church, UCC in loving memory of
PAUL H. PHILLIPS, SR.
Oct. 8, 1915 - June 2,1983

Paul's family and friends hope that the garden will give as much joy and pleasure as he gave. Paul loved the beauty of great outdoors, nature, the woods and its peacefulness. He would love the beauty and meaning of this Biblical Garden.
It is not the length of a life that matters, but how it is lived. It is not how long, but how well. We will remember how well Paul lived his life: joyfully, lovingly, helping others, and happily singing, "This is my task." A life that touches the hearts of others, as his did, goes on forever.
"For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven; a time to be born and a time to die..." Ecc. 3:1-2
"And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three, but the greatest of these is love." I Corinthians 13:13
Other memorial gifts were made remembering the life of
DAVID K. HUDSON
April 18, 1958 - March 19, 1984.

David always wanted to fly. He grew up and lived those hopes.
Cele Philips actively worked on the Biblical Gardens since the very beginning.
Year after years, day after day she weeded, feed and watered God's garden.
